e-Sign PDF Guide
Electronically signing a PDF means adding your signature to a document without printing it out, signing on paper, and scanning it back in. Lite PDF Suite's e-sign tool lets you draw a signature with your mouse or finger, type your name in a signature style font, or upload a photo of your handwritten signature, then place it exactly where it needs to go on the page. Everything happens inside your browser, so the document you are signing, which might be a contract, a form, or an agreement, never passes through an outside server. Once placed, the signature can be resized or moved before you save the final signed copy. The result looks and prints exactly like a document signed by hand, which is enough for most everyday agreements and internal paperwork.
Key Features
The e-sign tool supports every common way people prefer to sign, so you can pick whichever feels most natural.
- Draw a signature: sign naturally using a mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen.
- Type a signature: enter your name and choose a signature style font.
- Upload a signature image: use a photo of your existing handwritten signature.
- Placement control: move and resize the signature to fit exactly where needed.
- Multi page signing: add your signature to more than one page in the same document.
- Date stamping: add the signing date alongside your signature if the document requires it.
How to Use It
Signing a document takes just a few steps, and the process is the same whichever signature method you choose.
- Upload the PDF you need to sign.
- Choose to draw, type, or upload your signature.
- Drag the signature onto the correct spot on the page.
- Resize it if needed and repeat for other pages.
- Click Download to save the signed PDF.
The finished file looks the same as a document signed on paper, ready to send back the same day. There is no need to print anything at any point in the process.
Common Use Cases
E-signing removes a step that used to require a printer and a scanner, which matters most when a document needs to be returned quickly.
- Signing a rental agreement or employment contract sent over email.
- Approving a vendor invoice or purchase order without printing it.
- Signing a school or university form that was sent as a PDF.
- Countersigning an agreement that a client or partner already signed.
- Adding a signature to a freelance contract before starting a project.
- Signing an acknowledgment or consent form sent by an employer.

Printing a document just to sign it and then scanning it back in is one of the more outdated steps still common in everyday paperwork. Lite PDF Suite's e-sign tool exists to remove that entire detour, letting you go from receiving a document to returning a signed copy in the same sitting, without ever touching a printer. Because your signature is applied and downloaded locally, there is no account to create and no signature stored anywhere on a server after you finish, which keeps the whole process both fast and private.
