Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Lite PDF Suite is a free, open-source set of PDF tools that runs in your browser. Using the site means you agree to the terms below, which are kept short and plain on purpose.

Using the service

Lite PDF Suite is provided free of charge, with no account, sign-up, or payment required for any tool. There is no usage cap, and the tools may be used for personal, educational, or commercial work.

You are responsible for the files you process and for how you use the output. Don't use the tools to create, alter, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is used to forge, misrepresent, or falsify a document you're not entitled to modify, such as adding a signature or seal you don't have the right to use.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While every tool is built and tested carefully, we don't guarantee that any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to a specific purpose. Always keep a copy of your original file before processing it, since we don't retain any copy for you to recover from.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lite PDF Suite and its contributors aren't liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its tools, including but not limited to data loss, incorrect output, or missed deadlines. You use the tools at your own risk.

Availability

This is a free, independently maintained project. We aim to keep it available and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and tools may occasionally be updated, changed, or temporarily unavailable without prior notice.

Open source and license

Lite PDF Suite's source code is public and released under the MIT License. You're free to use, fork, and build on it under the terms of that license. The tools also rely on several open-source libraries, including pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip, tesseract.js, and qpdf-wasm, each under their own respective licenses.

None of this changes the core privacy guarantee of the site: your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
